List hosting for all Debian projects

Introduction

Mailing lists are one of the main communication methods used in the Debian project. While most of the main official lists are hosted at lists.debian.org, there are a number of mailing lists which do not fit there. Those lists are provided a home here.

Using teams.debian.net lists

To send a message to a list, you should email the distribution address, which will take the form of listname@teams.debian.net. Different lists have different posting policies. Please check the list homepage for details.

Subscription/Unsubscription

Subscribing or unsubscribing to lists hosted on teams.debian.net can be done by email. You can subscribe to a list by emailing listname-subscribe@teams.debian.net. To unsubscribe from a list, email listname-unsubscribe@teams.debian.net. The subject and body of the email are not relevant, but they will still have to make it through a spam filter. It's also possible to subscribe or unsubscribe a different address by encoding such an address into the subscribe request. To subscribe joe@example.com, you will need to email listname-subscribe-joe=example.com@teams.debian.net

All subscription and unsubscription requests will need to be confirmed by the address affected before the actual subscription or unsubscription can take place.
